Legal advice
Sometimes things can get a bit dicey when it comes to tenancy, contract or copyright law. Do you have legal problems and need advice? Then our free initial consultation is available to you as a student at one of the universities we support. The initial information is limited to a verbal legal advice. You can use the initial consultation once per topic. During the consultation, our lawyer Birke Lösch can give you advice on how to proceed.
You can seek advice on the following topics, amongst others:
- Contract law (e.g. sales contracts, etc.)
- Tenancy law
- Employment law (including for international students)
- Legal issues with your college or university, or regarding deregistration
- Accident law
- Maintenance issues (for example, in connection with BAföG)
- Problems with your health insurance
Please note:
- If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us. If you do not cancel by phone in time, your right to a legal advice appointment for the current and coming semester expires.
- You are responsible for meeting any deadlines that may have been set, for example in contracts.
Tip: Verbraucherzentrale
If you need further support after the free initial consultation, you can turn to the various low-cost consultation services offered by the public consumer advice centre (“Verbraucherzentrale”) in Baden-Württemberg.
