Our gastronomic get-together (Gastronomischer Stammtisch) at the Stuttgart-Vaihingen campus is back for another round:
We invite you to join us on September 23, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, in the Spiegelsaal of the Mensa Vaihingen to chat, exchange ideas, and work together to bring about improvements.

What is the Gastronomische Stammtisch?
In our 2025 customer survey, you let us know that you’d like to see even more from our dining offerings. That’s exactly where the get-together comes in: It takes place once a month and provides a regular opportunity for students to exchange ideas with our gastronomic Team.
At the first meeting on July 22, the Studentenwerk Stuttgart was represented by the head of the food departement, the assistant cafeteria manager, the production manager of the Mensa Vaihingen, and Managing Director Marco Abe.
Together with representatives from the University of Stuttgart, stuvus, and the Stuttgart Media University (HdM), we discussed topics that are important to you. Among other things, we came to the conclusion that we need to rethink our special offers and seasonal dishes. You also asked for more variety in our menu offerings. We already have some good news on that: The buffet will return to the Mensa Vaihingen for the 2026/2027 winter semester. In addition, we’ll be redesigning the layout of the Mensa to help spread out the lines more evenly.
